PRESS STATEMENT: Africa4Palestine picketing and joining legal case between Israel lobby & SA Minister of Arts

The human rights organisation Africa4Palestine has submitted an application with the High Court of South Africa (Gauteng Division Pretoria) to be Amicus Curiae in case number 60035/21.

This case has been brought by members of the Israeli lobby against the Government of South Africa and South Africa’s Minister of Sports Arts and Culture. The Israeli lobby, through a front organisation “Citizens of Integrity”, want the Minister to retrospectively overturn his decision to withdraw his support for Miss SA being in Apartheid Israel.

#Africa4Palestine is represented by a legal team led by Shaa’ista Bulbulia of Govender Patel Dladla Incorporated.

Picket tomorrow at high court (Tuesday 07 December 2021)

#Africa4Palestine and others will be holding a picket outside tomorrow’s hearing taking place at 10h00 at the High Court of South Africa (Gauteng Division Pretoria).

The picket will be limited due to the current omicron covid fourth wave. Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the picket.
